missing information

I was very interested in this book and bought it on Kindle.
To my disappointment, I encountered a number of problems.
1.The book "promised" unique deck of cards, which could be cut out of the book and used.
Here is what the book says:
" The Ulema cards are personalized, meaning they are hand-made by you. You do not purchase your Ulema cards from stores. They are not a commercial product. The Master provides you with a set of 50 cards, called "Warka". * Each card has either a figure or a symbol (Number). The cards are printed on a master-sheet or on several sheets. You must cut each card individually, until you have 50 cards."

Unfortunately, there are no cards. Nothing to cut, nothing to use.

2. The formatting of this book is very poor.
Symbols appear between letters; no correlation between letters of two alphabets; some letters are missing which allows for a sad grammatical mistakes.

But my main disappointment is the fact that there are no cards.
I don't believe it's acceptable.

Best book on tarot

I purchased many books on the subject of tarot in the past and have been disappointed. This book by far is intriguing. I learned many different techniques concerning my future and isn't that what we would expect from the tarot? I love this book and I will tell all my friends to buy it.

About the Author
David Money Harris is an associate professor of engineering at Harvey Mudd College. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and his M.Eng. in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT. Before attending Stanford, he worked at Intel as a logic and circuit designer on the Itanium and Pentium II processors. Since then, he has consulted at Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, Evans & Sutherland, and other design companies.

David’s passions include teaching, building chips, and exploring the outdoors. When he is not at work, he can usually be found hiking, mountaineering, or rock climbing. He particularly enjoys hiking with his son, Abraham, who was born at the start of this book project. David holds about a dozen patents and is the author of three other textbooks on chip design, as well as two guidebooks to the Southern California mountains.

Sarah L. Harris is an Assistant Professor of Engineering at Harvey Mudd College. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Before attending Stanford, she received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University. Sarah has also worked with Hewlett-Packard, the San Diego Supercomputer Center, Nvidia, and Microsoft Research in Beijing.
Sarah loves teaching, exploring and developing new technologies, traveling, wind surfing, rock climbing, and playing the guitar. Her recent exploits include researching sketching interfaces for digital circuit design, acting as a science correspondent for a National Public Radio affiliate, and learning how to kite surf. She speaks four languages and looks forward to learning more in the near future.

Clear, easy to understand+ real world examples + interview questions

The authors have written a book that is very clear an easy to understand. The exercises are well-designed and the real-world examples are a nice touch. The lengthy explanations often found in other textbooks are not seen here. Interestingly it has interview questions too, which are not seen in other books. It's obvious that the authors have devoted a great deal of time and effort to create an accessible text. One of the authors, David Harris, had been working in chip design industries which is a great help to this book (David Harris has another book: CMOS VLSI Design, one of the main textbooks for chip design). I have used "Digital Logic and Computer Architecture" book to teach in our university, I strongly recommend this book.

Great introduction to the subject

I am just starting to learn how to program FPGAs and have read several books in the pursuit of this endeavor. This book has been the best I have read so far as a beginner. The authors are very experienced and knowledgeable and it comes through in this book. While other books on this topic appear to have been rushed, poorly edited, and are full of typographical and drawing errors, there were few errors that I noticed in this book. It's two chapters on combinational and sequential logic weren't only good introductions to the topic, they also gave good explanations of the pitfalls that can be encountered with each and how to avoid them. I found the book also did a good job of mixing the right amount of theory with practical applications. I also like that the book covered both VHDL and Verilog and always showed HDL listings side by side for each of the two. It is a great way to learn the second HDL since the side by side listings sort of act like a Rosetta stone of HDLs. The explanation of how to implement the beginnings of a MIPS processor was a great practical application for things learned previously in the book. If I had one wish, it would have been that the accompanying website had a more complete MIPS implementation. When I read the description of the book, I had assumed that the MIPS core described would be more complete. However, what they do cover is a great overview and it implements at least one instruction of each MIPS instruction type so it is a great starting point for a reader to build a more fully functional MIPS implementation.

Easy to learn from and a great reference

I used this book in my introductory computer engineering class. Whenever I was confused after lecture, reading the book cleared up a lot of my questions. In fact, it is written so clearly that I think anyone could teach themselves the subject by reading the book. Even in my more advanced classes, I find myself coming back to this book to brush up on Verilog, timing constraints, and other fundamental topics. Also, I have used this book to prepare for many (successful) interviews since it highlights material that interviewers like to ask. Because it is such a great book to learn from and a good reference for many topics, I recommend this book for electrical engineering or computer science students and anyone else who wants to learn about the subject.

About the Author
Sue Dallas is a qualified veterinary nurse, and she has worked as a member of a nursing team in both veterinary school, veterinary practices in the UK and in North America. She has been teaching on both veterinary nursing and animal care courses for over 20 years. During that time she was involved in a number of educational and examination developments for both sectors. Over the years she has spoken at all the veterinary congresses in the UK and around the world. She has promoted nursing and care of animals through training and education. In the early 1990’s she became involved in publishing as the editor of the Veterinary Nursing Journal (VNJ), the official journal of the British Veterinary Nursing Association followed by publication of text books for both veterinary nurses, auxiliaries and animal care.

Highly recommended, "student friendly" basic introduction.

In Animal Biology And Care, Sue Dallas provides a comprehensive introduction for animal care and pre-veterinary nursing students in basic animal biology and care, with particular attention to anatomy and physiology. Section 1 introduces the reader to basic animal cell and tissue structure, organ structures and systems. Section 2 focuses on animal health and husbandry, as well as the basic requirements for animal health, disease transfer, and the effect of micro-organisms on body systems. Section 3 covers the nursing procedures for an animal and includes an introduction to medical terminology. Offering a clear, "student friendly" text which is enhanced with more than 150 illustrations, Animal Biology And Care is highly recommended, basic, essential reading for anyone training or working in the field of animal care.

The following account of the families and customs of Hy-Many is printed from the Book of Lecan, fol. 90 to 92, exactly as it stands in the original, excepting only that the contractions are not retained, and such grammatical marks are introduced as were deemed necessary to render the language intelligible to an Irish scholar not familiar with Ms. abbreviations. The Book of Lecan was compiled from various other Mss. for Gilla losa More Mac Firbis, chief historian of the O'Dowds of Tireragh, in the county of Sligo, about the year 1418 ;but the work has been already so well described by O'Reilly, in his Irish Writers (vol. i. of the Transactions of the Iberno-Celtic Society), that it is not necessary to give any detailed description of it in this place.

Whether the tract on the customs of Hy-Many was originally composed at the period of the compilation of the Book of Lecan, or transcribed from an older Ms., we are not at present able to decide satisfactorily, as no other copy of it has been discovered, but it is highly probable that it was transcribed, and perhaps abridged, from some Ms. belonging to the territory of Hy-Many.

About the Author

Arthur Cracknell graduated in physics from Cambridge University in 1961 and then did his DPhil at Oxford University on "Some band structure calculations for metals". He worked as a lecturer in physics at Singapore University (now the National University of Singapore) from 1964-1967 and at Essex University from 1967-1970, before moving to Dundee University in 1970, where he became a professor in 1978. He retired from Dundee University in 2002 and now holds the title of emeritus professor there. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (Scotland) and a Fellow of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (UK). He is currently working on various short-term contracts in several universities and research institutes in China and Malaysia.

After several years of research work on the study of group-theoretical techniques in solid state physics, in the late 1970s Dr. Cracknell turned his research interests, to remote sensing and has been the editor of the International Journal of Remote Sensing since the 1980s. His particular research interests include the extraction of the values of various geophysical parameters from satellite data and the correction of remotely-sensed images for atmospheric effects. He and his colleagues and research students have published more than 250 research papers and he is the author or co-author of several books, both on theoretical solid state physics and on remote sensing. He also pioneered the MSc course in remote sensing at Dundee University, which has now been running since the 1980s. His latest books include The Advanced very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) (Taylor and Francis, 1997), Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite: A new operational cloud imager written with Keith Hutchison (CRC Taylor and Francis, 2006) and a second edition of Introduction to Remote Sensing written with Ladson Hayes (CRC Taylor and Francis, 2007).

Excellent and thorough introduction to statistics

This textbook gives clear explanations of basic statistical concepts, including discussions of normality, probability distributions, and sampling theory. Although it is aimed at students in biology, it is sufficiently general that it would make an excellent beginning stats primer for anyone.
