Access to History Britain and the American Colonies was purchased for use in my son's American Government & Economy class in High School. The teacher had asked that everyone get a copy since the school system no longer provided it and it was a good resource to study the period from 1740-1789. Since the book is written & published in Great Britain the use of certain British words we Americans are not accustomed to seeing gives an interesting insight into the culture from which America was based. It's also interesting that we're using a British textbook to teach our US students. The perspective on events that occured during that period is quite interesting.

Why didn't I know this sooner?

I picked up this book after a breakup and after I took an online test that revealed me as having an insecure attachment style. I wish I knew I was this way before my breakup. I may have been able to have had a better chance of a more healthy relationship; and we may even still be together. This book breaks down the insecure attachment style more than into just three main attachment style categories. Not only did I discover I was of the insecure style but also more in the “Fearful” category! OUCH!... I say ouch, because the book describes this style as particularly difficult to deal with. And believe me, I am starting to deal with my style head on and it is very difficult so far. The book has a lot of workbook style content – like questioners, charts, and exercised that you can benefit from. I was able to screen grab the parts I wanted to use from my Kindle reader on my computer screen. If you can buy a printed copy too, then that would be helpful.
Overall I feel like this material has given me a leg up on how to conquer my insecure attachment style, and I am hopeful to earn more of a secure attachment style as I work through these exercises. I am also hopeful that the next relationship I get into will go a lot better?... We’ll see.

Lust At First Sight

I really enjoyed this story. However, it starts off very slow you just have to continue to read the story. Upon reading the story you have a small-town girl with no life experience falls in love with a man with a lot of life experience. Also upon reading this book you will notice there was lack of communication through half of the book which really irritated me for two adults that are very smart to let communication skills. All in all it was a good read.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was a different story line for a BWWM, but it keeps you reading to the end to find out what happened. I loved the characters of Tanya Wellman and billionaire bachelor Antonio Leopoli, who is tall, handsome, dimples, and sexy, and how their relationship started. Tanya has finished law school and passed her NY State bar exam—now she is officially an attorney. Tanya is from rural Sunshine, Alabama, and she is very humble. She only wants to work hard and be successful in practicing criminal law. After passing the bar, Tanya attends a new club with her best friend, Bethany, and she is introduced to Antonio. Their chemistry is inevitable. Because Tanya is so attracted and mesmerized with Antonio and vise versa that she agrees to go home with him—something she never did before—a one night stand—now the publicity has started. This book will pique your interest. Will Tanya continue with a relationship with Antonio? Will Tanya find out what Antonio does for a living? Will Tanya tell Antonio that he is the father of her baby? Will there be a HEA for them?

Decent feel good read

This book was okay. It definitely was a different spin on the bwwm romance. The heroine was strong, not flakey. Although she was a bit "whipped" by the "one-eyed snake", but who hasn't . The hero would have been better served with a bit more testosterone.

• Ended to soon; would love a baby story with a side of Sofia tries to get revenge
